Armor Type: Cloth - Uncommon
Level Req.: 25 (70 with extras)
Source: Tailor crafted
Availability: Time consuming to complete the outfit
How to get the set:
The Robes of Arcana may be crafted by Tailors of 150+ skill.
Unfortunately, as of the release of Cataclysm, Pattern: Robes of Arcana is no longer available. As such, in order to get the robe you’ll have to find a Tailor who obtained the recipe before it was removed. However, the pattern wasn’t overly rare, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find a crafter.
Members of the Horde are fortunate enough to have two quest reward alternative robes. Thanks to Kamalia for bringing them to our attention!
Charged Robes from Watch Your Step in Azshara.
Robe of Shame from Verog the Dervish in Northern Barrens.
Extras:
Head – Arcane Cover (BoE world drop)
Shoulders – Durable Shoulders (BoE world drop)
Back – Frost Leather Cloak (BoE crafted by Leatherworkers of 180+ skill)
Hands – Regal Gloves (BoE world drop)
Waist – Gossamer Belt (BoE world drop)
Feet – Eternal Boots (BoE world drop)
One-Hand Dagger – Moon Blade (BoE world drop from Outland zones/instances)
Off-Hand – Aran’s Soothing Sapphire (BoP drop from Shade of Aran in Karazhan)
Recolours:

Azure Silk Hood looks pretty good with this set IMHO.
Horde players can pick up the Charged Robes from a quest in Azshara or the Robe of Shame from a quest in Northern Barrens, but Alliance players are out of luck unless they can find a tailor who has the Robes of Arcana pattern.
Thanks for that addition, Kamalia. I’ve added the extras into the article. Lucky Horde!
