Inferno Forged Mail

Inferno Forged Mail

Armor Type: Mail
Level Req.: 73 for Blood Elf/80 for Dwarf
Source: BoE world drops/Quest rewards/Vendor purchases/Dungeon drops
Availability: Time consuming to complete, due to the wide range of sources for the items

How to get the set:

There are technically four armor pieces bearing the Inferno Forged name, however none of them fit together particularly well. As such, we have opted to compile a set based around just one piece, the leggings.

The chestpiece and boots worn by the Blood Elf are infact perfect matches for the legs, although there are seemingly no perfect matches available for the other slots.

We’ve included two sets of items below, one for each of the mail wearing classes. The top picture represents a hunter, the lower-right a shaman. Any pieces which differ from the hunter version are outlined in the ‘Alternatives’ section at the bottom of the article.

This armor set has an awesome helm/weapon combo that turns it into a look that I call the Red Dragon. Maulgar’s Warhelm http://www.wowhead.com/item=28801/maulgars-warhelm is a drop from High King Maulgar (as you might have guessed) in Gruul’s Lair. And Dragonstrike, Reborn http://www.wowhead.com/item=94585 or the original Dragonstrike, both rare blacksmithing patterns offer matching dragon skull spikes and fins in a matching red cast. A shield that matches drops from Beth’tilac in the Firelands raid: Ward of the Red Widow http://www.wowhead.com/item=71038. Finally, a great matching dagger, particularly with the Firelands shield is Gutgore Ripper http://www.wowhead.com/item=17071, a drop from Garr in Molten Core.

I currently have 2 Fists of Fate, and was hoping to acquire the tier 5 and 2 fist weapons from Hyjal, but seeing as I am only lvl85 in MoP Greens and Blues, are there any good fist weapons to match this set, excluding the Mount Hyjal weapons ?

    Alternative shoulder???

  4. Leigolas says:

Impossible for me to find alternative boots, because Bloodlust Boots are “unfoundable” and ironhide boots are not very good! Can you advise another alternative boots pls?

  5. Leigolas says:

I have a problem, i cant take Boots of the Skybreaker from the quest because i have done the quest many time ago, so i have all the set but i cant find a pair of boots with similar skin and i cant find an alternative boots. Can you advise me to find some boots?

    • Ironyca says:

I would go for the Ironhide Greaves as boots and go for what the blood elf hunter is wearing in the picture.

      • Leigolas says:

Yes, i have the ironhide boots and i have tried them on my hunter…but i prefer a more similar skin like the chest and legs on the bloodelf picture…pls…

      • Ironyca says:

The boots listed are the only ones with that kind of skin.
Only other alternative to the Ironhide Greaves I can find is Bloodlust Boots.

      • Leigolas says:

Yes…i thinked at the same boots, maybe the “Bloodlust” boots can match…but i cant find them! Tryed also with the “Blackened chain greaves” but is not good! :-(
