Cataclysm Recolour

Cataclysm Armor Recolour
Tier 5 Shaman Lookalike

Armor Type: Mail
Level Req.: 70
Source: BoP boss drops from Outland raid instances, Leatherworking
Availability: Time consuming to farm and requires assistance

How to get the set:
The recolour of the Shaman T5 Cataclysm sets is comprised of four items distributed between Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep: The Eye, and one Leatherworker crafted item. It is advisable to pursue this set as part of a small group or raid, even if you are maximum level, as some of the encounters from which the items drop are either extremely difficult or impossible to solo.

There are no fully matching headpieces or boots for this set.

ShouldersCoral-Barbed Shoulderpads (BoP from Leotheras the Blind in Serpentshrine Cavern)
ChestFire Crest Breastplate (BoP from Al’ar in The Eye)
WristsBlackfathom Warbands (BoP from Hydross the Unstable in Serpentshrine Cavern)
GlovesWorldstorm Gauntlets (BoP from High Astromancer Solarian in The Eye)
WaistGirdle of the Tidal Call (BoP from Morogrim Tidewalker in Serpentshrine Cavern)
LegsSunhawk Leggings (BoP from Kael’thas Sunstrider in The Eye)
FeetBoots of the Crimson Hawk (BoP crafted by Leatherworkers of 375+ skill with Pattern: Boots of the Crimson Hawk, a random trash drop from within SSC. Note that this is actually a perfect match for the Hunter T5 recolour, but it happens to suit this set rather well too)

Alternative Belt

Here’s an alternative matching belt for the outfit. The Masterwork Girdle, a random world BoE drop, suits the appearance quite well, as shown to the right.

If you have been having as little luck as I have on obtaining the shoulders, I have found an alternative that is limited to hunters, and it can conveniently also fill in the helm slot. The Hateful Gladiator’s Chain hunter set matches the colors of this set, and the five core pieces are purchasable using Justice Points.

The matching belt for this set is the Monsoon Belt from Leatherworking or Girdle of the Tidal Call from Morogrim Tidewalker in Serpentshrine Cavern.

and feet better get the Tmpest strider boots from lurker below, again those are the t5 shaman boots… should match the set.

for the belt try GIRDLE OF THE TIDAL CALL, dropps from morogrim tidewalker in SSC. perfect fit

  5. Damien Rank says:

I’m going with the Crown of Destruction from Ragnaros in MC. Looks awesome and I need a set to fit it in. For a ranged weapon, Arcanite Steam-Pistol from Al’ar and for a cloak, try the Phoenix-Wing Cloak, also from Al’ar. Transmogging ahoy!

  6. Chrth says:

For a belt, I think the Girdle of the Tidal Call (http://www.wowhead.com/item=30068) works pretty well in this set.

    • Noelani says:

Both the boots and belt are perfect matches for the original Shaman T5 set, and whilst the belt is a passable alternative to fit this recolour, we think the colouration of the tempest-strider boots are too much of a departure from the colour scheme of this particular set.

These are of course our reasons for not including the above in our article, everyone is welcome to pick whatever they like for their own sets.

Great list! Thoughts on a helm?
