Red Sunwell Cloth Set
Armor Type: Cloth
Level Req.: 70
Source: Trading BoP boss drops from Sunwell Plateau
Availability: Time consuming to farm and requires assistance
How to get the set:
The five major pieces in this set are vendor exchanged, at the combined cost of a specific Sunwell Plateau boss drop and one Sunmote per item. Once a relevant Sunwell drop and a Sunmote have been obtained, they may be traded in at Yrma <Transmuter of Sin’dorei Relics>, on the Island of Quel’Danas. Yrma will convert these into the appropriate item of the ‘Red Sunwell set’.
Whilst none of the five main set pieces are class-specific, there are also three pieces of the extended Mage Tier 6 set which fit this appearance perfectly and also drop from Sunwell bosses: Belt of the Tempest, Bracers of the Tempest and Boots of the Tempest, which are of course only available to mages.
Gathering the basic pieces to trade-in will require a raid group, even of level 85 characters, as many of the Sunwell encounters are particularly challenging, or have mechanics requiring multiple players.
Head – Helm of Arcane Purity (Exchanged for 1 Sunmote and Cowl of Light’s Purity, from Kil’jaeden in Sunwell Plateau)
Shoulders – Shoulderpads of Knowledge’s Pursuit (Exchanged for 1 Sunmote and Shawl of Wonderment, from Lady Sacrolash & Grand Warlock Alythess in Sunwell Plateau)
Chest – Robes of Ghostly Hatred (Exchanged for 1 Sunmote and Robes of Faltered Light, from M’uru/Entropius in Sunwell Plateau)
Gloves – Gloves of Tyri’s Power (Exchanged for 1 Sunmote and Handguards of the Dawn, from Kil’jaeden in Sunwell Plateau)
Legs – Pantaloons of Growing Strife (Exchanged for 1 Sunmote and Pantaloons of Calming Strife, from Kalecgos/Sathrovarr the Corruptor in Sunwell Plateau)
An alternative chestpiece for this set is Sunfire Robe, which is created by tailors using Pattern: Sunfire Robe, a rare drop from random Sunwell trash mobs. However, it should be noted that not only is this pattern rare, but the item is also BoP, so only tailors can wear it.
