How to get the set:
The 5 pieces of the Desolation Battlegear are from normal and heroic level 70 Outland dungeons. The farming process is easily soloable by a level 85 character, but it is potentially very time consuming to gather the entire set, due to daily heroic lockouts.
Also available are two rare quality Outland dungeon drops which, although not technically part of the Desolation gear, match the appearance of the set. There doesn’t appear to be any bracers which perfectly match Desolation.
Head – Helm of Desolation (BoP from Aeonus in Normal and Heroic Black Morass, at a 17% drop rate)
Shoulders – Pauldrons of Desolation (BoP from Quagmirran in Heroic Slave Pens, at an 18% drop rate)
Chest – Hauberk of Desolation (BoP from Epoch Hunter in Heroic Old Hillsbrad Foothills, at a 17% drop rate)
Gloves – Gauntlets of Desolation (BoP from Warchief Kargath Bladefist in Normal and Heroic Shattered Halls, at an 18% drop rate)
Legs – Greaves of Desolation (BoP from Talon King Ikiss in Normal and Heroic Sethekk Halls, at a 19% drop rate)
Waist – Girdle of the Blasted Reaches (BoP from Omor the Unscarred in Heroic Ramparts, at an 18% drop rate)
Feet – Outland Striders (BoP from Zereketh the Unbound in Normal and Heroic Arcatraz, at a 19% drop rate)

Your image of Desolation is incorrect. Your model is using a different belt model than the Blasted Reaches. I believe you are displaying the Telaari Hunting Girdle, which is a suitable replacement for color, but lacks the polygon definition of the Blasted Reaches waist item.
Another note: For those that find farming Heroic Old Hillsbrad a chore, consider running Heroic Magister’s Terrace. The Tunic of the Ranger Lord, an epic mail chest from Kael’thas matches the Desolation chest exactly.
