How to get the set:
Items of the Chromite set drop from random creatures between level 38 and level 49. Due to the randomness of the drops, the Auction House the best place to scout for Chromite items.
Note: There are a couple of extra items in the Chromite set that were omitted for aesthetic reasons. You can find them here.

Recolours:
War Master’s Pauldrons also look really nice for this set. Same skin as the Pauldrons of the Thorium Brotherhood but the War Master’s shoulders have a tarnished silver hue. The Thorium Brotherhood shoulders metal parts are more bluish.

There are Chromite pauldrons lvl 40 part of this set.
The absence of the Pauldrons and a few other Chromite items is already listed in the “note” section of the article. We left the shoulders out as we felt they didn’t fit the rest of the set too well, as is often the case with pre-60 BoE green sets.
This is the same set that the Death Knight Understudies wear, in the Instructor Razuvious fight from Naxx. I haven’t found matching shoulders yet. The shouldershave the same model as Wyrmslayer pauldrons.

I found tha the “pauldrons of the Thorium Brotherhood” obtainable via quest, fits quite well with this set.
