Note: The Cindercloth set as made by tailors comprises of a few more items than listed in t his article, but for the purposes of this site, we chose other items which we felt combined with the chest and pants to make a more appealing appearance. If you wish to see the other items, you can do so here.

Alternate shoulders: nether guards, quest reward in netherstorm. http://www.wowhead.com/item=30514
also, alternate shoes: slippers of the high priestess, quest reward also from netherstorm, http://www.wowhead.com/item=30368
As there is no example of my favourite blue version of the cindercloth outfit i present you my little warlock girl of the EU Server Taerar^^

Look her up if you like to know which gear i used to create this set or send me a note and i´ll write back to you^^
Looks fantastic! We actually had a person win a few thousand gold at our most recent WoW Factor event, using a variation of those items. It’s a really nice and quite unusual set.
We have made pictures of the Frostweave Tunic/Wanderer’s combo set for the site, but it’s not been posted as an article yet – it’s buried deep in our long to-do list!
For those who are looking like me for a good pair of boots is the following link

Lucky me that my warlock girl hasn’t started running around this area so i can still do this quest^^
Good luck and happy hunting all who will start doing this quest!
I found a replacement chest if you have not already done the quest in Nagrand.

Some small tips for everyone liking this set:
1. The vest recipe is very hard to get by, best chance for you is to shout in trade from time to time that you look for a tailor who can make it and promise a big tip (I gave someone 250 gold).
2. I wanted to have some more black in the set, and also preferred a fancy shirt with red sleeves. Also, if you cannot easily get the shoulders or cloak because of being low level or keep getting killed as a cloth user in pvp, try this.

- Dar’toons Cloak
- Thistlefur Mantle
- Stylish Red Shirt
Have fun!
Very handsome character!
A nice alternative, on my server for pretty cheap, are the cloth priest tier one bracers and belt. Of course, this doesn’t help Warlocks or Mages but, meh.
I just got this on my warlock and I really enjoy it. However, I would love to have a “foxy” pet to go with it. I don’t mean my demons (I use Succubus). Anyone has any ideas?
Worth mentioning that the wrists in the Alternative version are the Elegant Bracers! Took me forever to find the lil buggers!

Anyone have suggestions as to alternative trousers to use with this set? I like the feet and gloves and whatnot, and I want a nice non-robe option for my (female) worgen warlock, but I’m not a big fan of all that exposed thigh.
might try the Devil-stiched leggings found in Area 52 in netherstorm, one of the 3 floating dungens there thats where i got mine
I just gathered up a copy of this set for my Forsaken mage and I love it!
I wasn’t able to get the Gloves of the High Magus since I already had that quest done. These are the best looking gloves if you can get them. Otherwise, the Cindercloth ones that go with the set are still a pretty good match.
Helm: Circle of Flame http://www.wowhead.com/item=11808
(Whitemane’s Chapeau is a much easier to farm match for this set as well)
Main Hand: Gutgore Ripper http://www.wowhead.com/item=17071
Off-hand: Skull of Burning Shadows from Stratholme http://www.wowhead.com/item=13524
Cloak: Dar’toon’s Cloak http://www.wowhead.com/item=59433
Another weapon suggestion: Perdition’s Blade http://www.wowhead.com/item=18816 (Both from Molten Core)

Female alternative, top is tabard exclusively (Guild):

both use this staff, there are a few same model choices but this was easiest since it is questable:

The shoulders I used can be quested or found as a green on AH – there are some look alikes. Quested version obtained via netherstorm quest: http://www.wowhead.com/item=30514
(Edit Ironyca: Fixed your request)
Oh, those shoulders are uber sexy.. Thanks for posting! I’m building a set similar to this, only with a different top and such. Thanks again!
I put this set together for my mage but added the Veteran’s Silk Belt (because I had already done the belt quest and couldn’t get that one) that you purchase for JP on the Isle of Quel’danas, the head I added Circle of Flame, a drop in BRD (47 kills it took!), and then the back I added Obsidian Flecked Cape, that comes from a massively long quest chain in Burning Steppes (so worth it). There are lots of cloaks with that model though, it just so happened that was the easiest one for me to get. Here is the full outfit: http://earthenring.net/albums/photo/view/album_id/140/photo_id/5747
It seems they have changed the vest, it no longer have bare arms .(
Cindercloth
My Cindercloth vest in-game has bare arms still, so that’s got to be a shirt underneath.
Oh didn’t think of that, just checked and it was due to a shirt. Thanks for the notion
Just want to point out the drop rate is .05%, not 7%, not 5%, .05%. If you try farming this recipe you will concur the above list 7% is an error.
I should add that those drop rates were accurate once, having been altered with the zone change to Searing Gorge, and it’s difficult for us to keep updated with every drop rate listed in our 900+ articles. Nevertheless, thanks for bringing it to our attention, I’ve updated accordingly.
and there is also blue/violet http://www.wowhead.com/item=29928#screenshots go hunt it! i don’t know yet what is chest called… but im sure you will figure it out :3 atleast its good to know that there is one!

What shoulders are those? Your set looks sick!
Mantle of Three Terrors – Nemesis Recolour Good looking set, Yura.
Has *anyone* had any luck in the vest pattern dropping? I’ve been farming the Fire Guards on and off for the past several days and have had no luck myself. Would hearten me to know if it is still obtainable.
Did you ever get the drop? Still trying to determine if it’s still in the game myself.
I can confirm the cloak and pants still drop, as I picked up 2 of them today while farming.
I spent about an hour farming for the vest and glove patterns with no luck. I’m really hoping these still drop as they come from the same mob, but different mob than the cloak and legs.
I’ll post back if I manage to pick one up! Best of luck to anyone else farming them. A heads up whether they still drop would be awesome too!
I’ve successfully farmed the vest and gloves tonight (12/28/11) Keep trying! Check out where they drop and only farm what they tell you to and you should be fine.
Priest shoulders that match:

Boots that are much easier to get:

Gloves for priests:

Matching gloves?
It’s an old article from before mogging, which is why there are no gloves featured, but if you havn’t finished the quests in shadowmoon valley, check out the quest rewards: Earthmender’s Bracer of Shattering, Grom’tor’s Bloodied Bandage and Gloves of the High Magus.
If you don’t want to/can’t do the shadowmoon quests or want an easier option, consider Gossamer Bracers, Gossamer Gloves and Gossamer Belt.
For Level 70+ Characters there is a quest in Area 52, where zu have to kill an elite Mob. The reward consists of identically looking boots. -> http://www.wowhead.com/item=31312
Chapeau for this is, of course, [Whitemane's Chapeau]
What is the a good substitute for the shoulders because you can not transmogrify boa items.
Apparently you will be able to transmogrify them: Blue Post on Heirlooms
